Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
My tribute to the 40th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior, Nov. 10, 1975. All 29 lives were lost in the hurricane force storm and their bodies were never recovered. I used to photograph and sketch the Fitz while living in and attending art school in Milwaukee. Eight crewmen called Wisconsin home and the connection had a personal impact on me. To this day, there is no official cause for the wreck other than it was weather-related. R.I.P., Captain McSorley and crew.
I have had a passion for art for nearly 45 years. I have done numerous commissioned works and participated in many gallery showings. I have sold my original work and prints to buyers worldwide. In 2015, I was honored by winning 1st place in the state wildlife division of the Wisconsin Regional Artists Association competition with the painting "Silent Sentinel." If you have an idea for a personal painting, I would be happy to talk about it as well. Just contact me with your idea. Thank you for taking time to read this and browse my collection.

Thank you, Verana. I did a lot of research before beginning this one. It helped me better understand the mayhem the crew must have faced under that horrific storm. Thanks, again.
